Electronic spot-welding device for modelling and other hobby applications

With the WELMA 2000 you too can weld like a professional - even in your home model workshop or hobby room.

This electronic spot-welding device has been specially developed for producing assemblies from steel wire. The
point where the wires meet is fixed together using a pair of pliers whose tips take the form of welding contacts;
when the start switch is pressed, the joint is firmly welded together. During the welding process a current of up to
2500 A flows through the contacts for a few thousands of a second.

The possible applications for this spot-welding device are enormously wide-ranging. For example, it finally solves
the problem of assembling the masts and railings of model boats neatly and without oversized, non-scale soldered
joints. Masts, bridges, overhead cables and many other metal constructions on model railway layouts can now be
produced at home at low cost. Since the steel wire which we recommend and supply is a stainless type, the
welded assemblies are even suitable for use outdoors. Even designs for Tiffany applications can be constructed
safely and strongly using the WELMA 2000. Model-makers and hobby fans will find many further possible
applications for this innovative device.

To accompany this robbe product you will find many additional useful tips for handling the spot-welding device on
the website www.welma2000.de, together with suggestions and building instructions for possible designs, and any
amount of supplementary information concerning the WELMA 2000.
